On-device photo processing
Preview, capture, digital cropping, composition and JPEG output happen on the iPhone. X8 has no cloud photo library and does not use photos for training, analytics or advertising.
X8 CAMERA PRIVACY
Your photos are processed only on your iPhone.
X8 Camera collects no data, needs no account, and includes no advertising, analytics or tracking SDK. Camera frames, source photos, composites and individual focal photos are never uploaded to AskSam or any third-party server.

Camera and Photos permissions
Camera access is used only for the live viewfinder, focus and exposure, and captures you start. Photos requests Add Only access; the app does not read or browse existing photos.
Local preferences and diagnostics
Focal selection, output mode, grid and watermark settings remain on device in UserDefaults. Diagnostics contain no photos or persistent identifiers and are received only when you copy and email them.
Photo recovery
Output JPEGs are first written to private app recovery storage. They are cleared after a confirmed Photos save and retained after a failed or uncertain result until you retry, confirm the photo exists or discard it.
Deletion and retention
Unresolved recovery photos do not expire automatically. You can share, retry or delete them in the app. Removing X8 may also remove recovery files that have not been added to Photos.
No collection, advertising or tracking
X8 collects no personal data, builds no advertising profile, performs no cross-app tracking, and uses no AdMob, UMP, ATT, third-party analytics or account system. This website also uses no analytics or trackers.
